Operates either CT or MR equipment, analyze body habitus to correctly adjust technical factors, position the body correctly, review physicians written orders or obtain pertinent clinical data to consistently produce high-quality images and reduce unnecessary radiation to patients and oneself.
Assists the radiologist during (injection, biopsy, drainage) procedures and if necessary (contrast reactions or code blues) by preparing the room, tray, and supplies and by anticipating the needs of the physicians, nursing staff and patients.
Performs all appropriate procedures in the computer as needed (i.e. scheduling exams, starting and completing exams, proper charging of supplies, etc.)
Completes all proper forms (i.e. pregnancy and contrast form) and scans forms into PACS system.
Documents any work related incident (i.e. patient fall, IV extravasation, work-related injury, etc.) through the designated program in a timely manner.
Operates all diagnostic radiology equipment (i.e. Fluoroscopy room, portable, and DR room). Perform all diagnostic radiology procedures associated with each type of equipment.
