Position Summary: We are offering an exciting opportunity to learn and grow in the field of Cytotechnology.
The successful individual will be responsible for the screening and reporting of negative gynecological cytology cases, and identifying and referring abnormal cases to the pathologist. They are also responsible for the screening of non-GYN specimens for the identification of abnormalities prior to the pathologist examination of the specimen. The Cytotechnologist also maintains accurate quality control and quality assurance records.
Position Requirements: • B.A./B.S. in Biological Science or equivalent to meet all licensing requirements • CT (ASCP Registered) • Current California State Cytotechnologist license • 2 years of experience as a laboratory Cytologtechnologist preferred • Solid computer skills • Excellent communication skills • Certification in Surpath/Thinprep paps a plus
Additional Salary Information: Salary negotiable based on experience
