Under the general direction of the Associate Director of Radiology and the direct supervision of the Ultrasound Supervisor or Vascular Lab Supervisor, independently performs the established, invasive and diagnostic ultrasound procedures. Maintains clinical competence through periodic involvement in direct patient activities, utilizing knowledge of age-related growth and development as appropriate for the population served.
Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology and/or equivalent educational level (RN/LPN/Student of RDMS equivalence) required. One year experience as a Sonographer preferred. Achievement of registration by the ARDMS within one year of employment is preferred, within two years is required. CPR certification must be acquired within three months of hire and updated annually.
