"Performs routine and advanced mammography procedures within the scope defined by regulatory and departmental standards. Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc.
Section III: Job Qualifications/Education/Training/Certification/Licensure Experience required in Mammography and related testing and Quality Control in Mammography. Current valid certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), for radiography and mammography and holds a valid New Jersey State licensure. Is compliant in maintaining current continuing education credits as required by the FDA/ MQSA and ACR. BLS required. Work Environment and Hazards Well-lighted, well-ventilated areas. Patient care areas. Uniforms as required by department. Can be physically and emotionally demanding. Special Physical Demands Must meet requirements of the ADA (attached) Work Contact Group Patient and family members. Physicians and physician office staff, co-workers, supervisors, interdepartmental workers, physiciansPerforms routine and diagnostic mammography, breast biopsies preferred, but not required for Per diem. DEXA procedures and general x-rays as required. Knowledge of QC for all mammography equipment.
