Healtheast and Fairview Health Services is looking for a Health Unit Coordinator at St. John's Hospital in Maplewood, MN. This position is 40 hours per two weeks on the Eve shift, for 8 hour shifts, Block schedule,and is eligible for benefits.
Responsible for patient care duties and activities for a group of patients. Creates an atmosphere of hospitality on the unit and contributes to efficient unit operation by carrying out all unit clerical and receptionist activities and transcribing physician orders.Health Unit Coordinators are part of a dynamic care team including Providers, RN's, Nursing Assistants and Department Leaders, creating an atmosphere of hospitality and efficiency.Utilizing EPIC, the Health Unit Coordinator plays a critical role in the coordination of information ensuring an optimal patient visitor experience.

About this Unit:
This unit has a total of 29 beds that sees abdominal pains, falls, strokes, chest pain, headaches etc within Pediatric through geriatric patients. This is the only ER in Minnesota that has a results pending room for patients nearing the end of their treatment so that they can wait for discharge paperwork, which opens our active treatment rooms sooner.
