The Blood Bank QA Coordinator performs and monitors a variety of donor and transfusion services quality assurance activities and assumes responsibility for compliance with federal regulations relating to quality assurance activities in the blood center. The Blood Bank QA Coordinator assimilates, evaluates and presents quality assurance data to the Quality Council, participates as QA representative on committees and revises the Quality Program as required to meet industry standards, current regulations, and evolving needs of the operation. The ideal candidate will have an ASCP or equivalent certification, five years Blood Bank experience (donor center and/or transfusion service) or in Quality Field, and knowledgeable of FDA regulations pertaining to donor and transfusion services.
