We are looking for a casual Breast Imaging & Intervention Technologist to join our team!

The Breast Imaging & Intervent Technologist position provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of diagnostic images appropriate to the age of the patient. Responsible for meeting the established standards of practice and patient care, supplies, and equipment and for coordinating teamwork with all of the members of the healthcare team.

Maintains patient care

• Performs examinations
• Identifies relevant data from images accurately.
• Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional
• Participates in creating a culture of patient safety
• Knowledge of emergency preparedness for facility
• Verify patient identification and documentation
• Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam

Ensures patient data integrity

• Accurately completes computer functions; edits, scheduling, billing, status changes, and file jacket transfers in a timely fashion
• Accurate film identification and jacket preparation or digital image manipulation and archiving

Participates as an active team member

• Orients and mentors new employees and students
• Participates in department/facility process/quality improvement initiatives
• Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for position
• Cleans and maintains rooms and supplies
• Accepts unique customer service expectations in Imaging

Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level of population served.

• Partners with patient/care-giver in care/decision making.

Provides patient education based on an assessment of learning needs of patient/caregiver.

Required:

• ARRT
• ARRT in Mammography
• BLS - Must be from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association and be current at time of hire.

Preferred:

• 1 Year Experience
