This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. Learn more Performs routine radiographic exams of the head, spine, trunk, abdomen, and extremities. Operates both fixed and mobile radiologic equipment as part of the diagnostic plan for patients. Performs as technologist in charge on less demanding shifts or in a detached clinic. Explains procedures, positions patients for desired results and cushions and shields patients as appropriate. Preforms portables examinations Operates C-arms during OR/Pain Clinic procedures Effectively communicates with co-workers and hospital staff Prepares and administers contrast agents both orally and intravenously under the direct supervisor during fluoroscopic procedures As a team member with a radiologist, performs procedures such as bronchograms, cholecystograms, cholangiograms, urethrograms, G.I. series, and barium and air contrast barium enemas Sets up the X-ray Room. Assures that sterile supplies, local anesthetics, contrast materials, catheters, and other required equipment are present and laid out. Determines technical factors adjusting for patient conditions and body habitus Sets up and adjust accessory equipment Prepares rooms, equipment, and all material needed for patient care Prepares request and consults in Vista and CPRS Transports patients Performs image archival and case editing of procedures Work Schedule: Tues-Friday 8am-430pm, Saturday 12pm-830pm Financial Disclosure Report: Not required
