MWF 9:00AM-6:30PM and TT 12:00PM-6:30PM
You Will Be Responsible For:
Obtains patient demographic and health insurance information, collects co-pay if applicable.
Prepares and cleans treatment area for patients use when appropriate.
Cleans equipment, including aquatic pool and whirlpool, and logs temperature checks according to department policies and procedures.
Assists with preparation, maintenance and clean up of all treatment areas in the department according to established procedures.
Assists patients in the preparation and at the conclusion of treatments, including positioning, dressing or undressing, and draping.
Verifies insurance coverage for patient therapy and obtains recertification as needed.
What You Will Need:
High school or GED
Ability to travel to and from the Gollier Center & AdventHealth Ottawa to treat inpatients and attend meetings
Current CPR within one month of hire
Valid Driver’s License
Completion of Rehab Aide course (Preferred)
One year experience Required
Provides some direct patient care in the Rehabilitation Services Department under the direct supervision of Physical/Occupational/Speech Therapy staff.Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff and medical staff.Implements directions from the Physical/Occupational/Speech therapy staff.Provides patient care in the office setting.Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care; meets the communication needs of patient and family; provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of a Physical/Occupational/Speech Therapist.Maintains regulatory requirements, procedures and standards.Communicates with physicians and Rehabilitation Dept. Staff about patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Performs patient registration, scheduling, authorization of insurance, and other assigned tasks.
