This position is for the Supervisory Evening Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (Computed Tomography-CT) for the Radiology Service within the Memphis VA Medical Center and is responsible for the coordination and performance of the computer tomography section. The CT Supervisory Technologist will function as a working supervisor and have overall responsibility for the coordination and performance of the computed tomography section. The incumbent will direct, assign, oversee and support multiple staff member, and will evaluate performance, identify continuing education and training needs. Other duties include, but are not limited to the following: Ensures adequate quantities of CT supplies are available to meet workload demands through inventory control. Recommends, coordinates, and evaluates new or modified procedures/protocols. Performs specialized and very difficult CT procedures and 3-D post-processing. Schedules exams to optimize scanner times while maintaining flexibility for emergency cases.
