Position Summary

This is a Full Time Day shift position. Perform day studies MSLT/MWT , overscore Non-Registered Techs, troubleshoot equipment issues, patient chart assignments, set-up HST, keep supplies stocked and organized.

Preferred candidates will have 3+ years of experience, have their RPSGT, strong communication skills, experience running all pediatric sleep studies and a BLS from the American Heart Association.

The Polysomnographic (PSG)/Sleep Technologist II has passed examination by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) and proven competence to obtain credentials in polysomnography/sleep technology (RPSGT). The PSG/Sleep Technologist II provides findings, results, and a descriptive analysis according to facility policy and procedures. The PSG/Sleep Technologist II provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders involving all aspects of polysomnography testing, including diagnostic and therapeutic services, patient care, and patient education. The PSG/Sleep Technologist II works independently performing their principle duties and responsibilities and can provide supervision of the PSG/Sleep Technologist I. Strong well developed communication skills are essential for this position.

Education

• Graduation from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Program with an add-on track in PSG, a CAAHEP accredited Polysomnographic Technologist Program, or a Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care Polysomnographic Certificate Program or an Associates Degree or higher from an accredited college or university is desired. (Preferred)

Experience

• One year experience in the performance of PSG studies in a patient care environment (Required)
• Pediatric polysomnography experience (Preferred)

Certifications

• Credential in polysomnography (RPSGT). (Required)

Special Skills

• Well developed PC and Microsoft Windows knowledge. (Required)
