Multi-Modality Tech Level I requires certification in two (2) or more of the following modalities:
Radiography (X-ray)
Computed Tomography (CT)
Bone Densitometry (DXA)
Mammography
Vascular Sonography (US)
Musculoskeletal Sonography (US)
Multi-Modality Tech Level II requires certification in at least two (2) of the following modalities, or one (1) certification from Level I and one (1) certification from Level II:
General Diagnostic Sonographer (US) including Abdomen, Breast, OB/GYN & Pediatric
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
Nuclear Medicine
Positron Emission Tomography (PET)
Echocardiography including Adult, Fetal and Pediatric
Essential functions of Multi-Modality Tech I & II include:
Reviews prior exams on scheduled patients.
Preps equipment and room for exams.
Performs diagnostic exams specific to licensed modality.
Transports patients.
Completes worksheets.
Consults with radiologists on patient diagnosis and care.
Coordinates invasive procedures.
Assists radiologists with image guidance.
Displays proper etiquette and mannerisms that reflect the SHINE Behavior Standards.
Promotes the Patient Safety Standards as a core value of the organization.
Essential functions of Multi-Modality Tech III (Lead MMT I) & IV (Lead MMT II) include:

All functions of a Multi-Modality Tech I & II
Multi-Modality Tech III & IV
Supervises Technologist in respective modalities.
Direct the daily operation of respective modalities.
Maintains supply ordering.
Reviews Resource Scheduling changes with Director.
Provides administrative oversight for respective modality.
Assists with Peer interviews.
Acts as a patient advocate.
Organization of monthly outdates.
Provides Quality Assurance and ensures the Diagnostic Imaging department complies with all State and Federal regulations.
Maintain accurate records.
Supervises staff/student trainings.
Assists Director with oversight on Diagnostic Imaging related contracts.
Assists Director in developing hospital policies and procedures for respective modality.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Basic computer skills (required).
Two (2) years related experience (preferred).
BLS/CPR certification (required within 30 days of hire date).
ARDMS or CCI certification (Ultrasound) (required*).
One (1) year leadership experience/training (preferred).
In addition: requires certification* in two (2) or more of the following modalities:
Radiography (X-ray)
Computed Tomography (CT)
Bone Densitometry (DXA)
Mammography
Vascular Sonography (US)
Musculoskeletal Sonography (US)
Demonstrated Annual Proficiency/Currency Requirements in 2 or more of the above as evidenced by working minimum of two shifts per month in each imaging modality.
