Position Overview:
Complete Hearing & Balance is seeking a Vestibular Audiologist to join its team in Olympia, WA.
This role focuses on advanced diagnostic testing and treatment of vestibular disorders. Using state-of-the-art tools such as rotary chair, C/O VEMP, VNG, ABR, ECoG, and Canalith Repositioning, the Vestibular Audiologist will assess, diagnose, and manage balance dysfunction while providing patient counseling and care coordination.
You'll work within a supportive, education-focused environment that follows AIB protocols and offers mentorship from senior faculty. The position also involves collaboration with physicians and therapists, as well as opportunities to oversee and mentor students or technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform 15-20 vestibular evaluations per week, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to best practices.
Perform vestibular and audiological diagnostic testing following AIB protocols, including rotary chair, C/O VEMP, VNG, ABR, ECoG, Canalith Repositioning, OAE, tympanometry, ETD testing, and acoustic reflex threshold testing.
Analyze and interpret test results to diagnose vestibular disorders and develop appropriate treatment recommendations.
Coordinate and collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Counsel patients on test results, treatment plans, and rehabilitation options.
Perform canalith repositioning and other vestibular rehabilitation techniques to support patient recovery.
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation, ensuring timely communication with referring physicians and primary care providers.
Requirements:
Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) from an accredited institution.
Active Washington State Audiology Licensure (or eligibility for licensure).
Experience with vestibular diagnostics and treatment preferred.
Strong communication and patient-centered counseling skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
